PG402: SECUTEST with VL2 or VL2E

Attention! The VL2 is a universal adapter and works with almost any tester.

It is not an adapter of type EL1.

Do not use the setting for SECUTEST: Verl. Ltg. X WITH EL1.

The SECUTEST must read: Verl. Ltg. - MIT EL1 Check with SECUTEST 0701 / 0702S and devices with single test, eg. B. Metratester 5:

First perform a visual inspection as usual.

Connect the VL2 to the test socket as instructed.

Plug the probe into the provided socket on the VL2

Set your device to PE test on the SECUTEST 0701 / 0702S switch position menu - RSL and measure the PE resistance. Maximum limit is 0.3 ohms for lines up to 5m, or in addition 0.1 ohms for each additional 7.5m to a maximum of 1.0 ohms.

Select the Insulation resistance measurement RISO function and measure the insulation resistance. The minimum limit is 1 M ohms.

Turn the momentary switch of the VL2 to position 2 during the insulation resistance measurement. Now an insulation resistance of approx. 10 M OHM (8 to 12 m OHM) must be displayed. This is then the confirmation that the line has no breaks and no short circuits. For three-phase cables, it is also ensured that no phases are reversed.

This completes the exam.

Check with SECUTEST 0701 / 0702SII, SECUTEST 0751 / 601S, SECUTEST SII (+) and SECUTEST SIII (+):

Connect the VL2 to the test socket as instructed.

Plug the probe into the provided socket on the VL2.

If you set your device to VDE 0702, activate the insulation resistance measurement R-ISO LN-SL X. Deactivate the option Res. - with EL1.

In Setup Flow, disable the Auto-Test Method option.

Activate the option manual expiration X Start the test procedure and work the test procedure through to the insulation resistance measurement.

Now turn the VL2 panning switch to position 2 during the insulation resistance measurement.

Now, an insulation resistance of approximately 10 MOhm (8 to 12 MOhm) must be indicated on the VL2 and approximately 7 MOhm (6.3 to 7.7 MOhm on the VL2E.

This is then the confirmation that the line has no breaks and no short circuits, it also ensures that there are no reversed phases on three-phase lines, please note that the measured value for the insulation resistance measurement is 10 MOHM and not the actual value. You should also make a note of such a test. - After the insulation resistance measurement, you can perform a substitute leakage current measurement, a function test is not required. This completes the exam.
